The exact itinerary is decided by us, two weeks before travel but we guarantee a smooth running safari. There is a substancial discount in exchange of this flexibility. South Luangwa National Park

On arrival at Lusaka Airport, you will be accompanied to your connecting flight to Mfuwe. Reception at the Mfuwe airport on arrival and transfer to Kapani Lodge which takes approximately 45 minutes.

In the afternoon you will participate in your first game viewing activity and night drive.

Dinner is served under the stars. Overnight at the Camp.

Kanapi Camp

Luwi Bush Camp

Your second day in the South Luangwa will begin with a filling breakfast at Kapani Lodge and then a game drive to transfer you to Luwi Bush Camp. This will take around 3 – 4 hours and is a slow game drive through the Park giving you great opportunities to see the wildlife during the gorgeous morning light.

You will get to camp in time for a sumptuous buffet brunch before having a few hours of ‘siesta’ time to watch the goings on from your room, head to the nearby ‘hippo hide’ or have a proper sleep! In the afternoons you will enjoy a delicious cake and tea/coffee before heading out on your afternoon walk.

During the next two days you will spend a lot of time on foot, exploring the area around the dry white sand Luwi River.

Luwi Camp

Luwi Bush Camp

After your wakeup call and a continental breakfast, head out on your walking safari, stopping en route for a morning tea/coffee break. Return back to camp late morning after enjoying the sights and sounds of the South Luangwa, to enjoy a delicious brunch in camp.

A couple of hour’s siesta will await you before enjoying a delicious cake and tea/coffee before heading out on your afternoon walk. Stop en route during your activity for sundowner drink before heading back before dark. Pre-dinner drinks are then served before enjoying a sumptuous dinner under the stars.

Luwi Camp

Luwi Bush Camp → Nsolo Bush Camp

On the morning of day four you will make your way to your next camp either by road or by foot; this is around 8 kms and will take around 3 – 4 hours. If you decide to walk, your bags will be waiting for you in your room when you arrive in time for brunch. All our bush camps are set under the shade of wonderful and immense trees. All the chalets have individual decking and ensuite outdoor showers and toilets. The camps include a large traditional chitenje (outdoor lounge) for sharing food, drinks and good company.

Enjoy the taste sensations of the sumptuous meals, which are often served under the stars. Over the next 2 days you will participate in twice daily game drives and walks conducted by some of Africa’s best guides.

Nsolo Camp

Nsolo Bush Camp

After your wakeup call and a continental breakfast, head out on your game activity, stopping en route for a morning tea/coffee break. Return back to camp late morning after enjoying the sights and sounds of the South Luangwa, to enjoy a delicious brunch in camp.

A couple of hour’s siesta will await you before enjoying a delicious cake and tea/coffee before heading out on your afternoon walk/drive. As is an African tradition, you will stop during your afternoon activity for sundowner drinks before continuing your evening drive to spot some of the nocturnal creatures of the bush. Returning to camp you can enjoy a drink, or shower before dinner. Dinner is then served, allowing you an opportunity to enjoy a nightcap before your well -earned sleep.

Nsolo Camp

Nsolo Bush Camp → Kakuli Bush Camp

After another Nsolo breakfast you prepare for our adventure to another part of the African bush, making our way to Kakuli Bush Camp. Jump aboard the game viewing vehicle for a game drive to Kakuli Bush Camp or alternatively you can make your way there by foot which is a longer walk of approximately 12kms and will take around 4 – 4.5 hours depending on what you see along the way.

Kakuli features luxury tents with stunning views of the Luangwa River, which is home to one of the largest concentrations of hippos and crocodiles in Africa. Daily game drives and walking safaris will be conducted in the same manner as previous days.

You will get to camp in time for a sumptuous buffet brunch before having a few hours of ‘siesta’ time to watch the goings on from your room. In the afternoon you will enjoy a delicious cake and tea/coffee before heading out on your afternoon drive. Returning to camp to enjoy a drink, or shower before dinner. Dinner is then served, allowing you an opportunity to enjoy a nightcap before your well earned sleep.

Kakuli Bush Camp

After breakfast at Kakuli Bush Camp, transfer to Mfuwe airport for your domestic flight back to Lusaka. It will be a 2-3 hours game driver depending on what you see along the way.
