Sail the waters of the Mekong visiting mellow villages and riverside gardens on this weekend escapade. Meet the charming locals in their workshops, dine in their homes, and visit a surreal floating market.

Boat tour around Ben Tre
Your guide will come to meet you and transfer you to Ben Tre province, situated in the Delta of Mekong River. Ben Tre is famous for its tropical fruit gardens and traditional handicrafts made of coconuts. Board your private local boat and start your cruise, for a glimpse at the agriculture river life. Your first stop is a brick kiln to see how the locals still use centuries-old traditional methods to make the bricks by hand. Then cruise further to a coconut workshop where you can learn about the multiple uses of coconut in the daily life. Back on board for another short cruise to a small family-run mat workshop. Get involved learning how to make sleeping mats under the instruction of the friendly mat-makers.
Arrive at the Garden House of a tropical fruit farmer and enjoy a walk around his orchard. Chat with the farmer whilst tasting fresh seasonal fruits in his garden. Continue your trip around these sleepy villages. Then enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before checking in homestay. After lunch, get a on tuk-tuk (or hop on a local bicycle) and ride along the narrow shady village roads to admire the tranquility of the Mekong.
Visit Mr.Sau Khanh’s house –a farmer whose hobby is collecting antiques such as ancient ceramics and sculptures. Enjoy some tropical fresh fruit and have a chat with him. Check in Duyen Que Homestay for overnight. In the evening, join with the host to learn cooking some Mekong specialties before enjoying dinner with the family.

Boat tour around Cai Lay
Enjoy a home-made breakfast, transfer to Cai Lay. Upon arrival in Cai Lay, board a charming wooden boat to enjoy countryside scenery and river life. Then stretch your legs a bit and hop on a bicycle for a short ride of about 7 km (over easy, level terrain) along narrow village lanes, past fruit orchards and local cottage industries. Locals will often greet you with a hello or "xin chao" as you pedal by.
Arrive at the home of a tropical fruit farmer and have a walk around his orchard. Enjoy the opportunity to taste fresh fruits. Then relax while enjoying the view from a small sampan boat as you are paddled slowly along tropical canals. Land and walk through this Mekong village to a local home and enjoy a home-hosted lunch of Mekong Delta specialties.
After lunch, a short walk takes you back to the car and continue on a 2-hour drive to Can Tho. Arrive in Can Tho at your hotel where you will be free at leisure this evening. Tonight, enjoy dinner at local restaurant in Can Tho.

Boat tour around Cai Rang
This morning, rise early and get a unique taste of life in the Mekong. Board a local boat and explore the colourful Cai Rang floating market, where many boats laden with fruits, vegetables and fish jostle for trade. Sellers advertise their wares by crying out across the waters or tie their goods to a tall pole attached to their boat so that buyers can see from a distance what is being sold.
This memorable experience makes for many excellent photo opportunities. Relax and enjoy the cruise back to the hotel where we will freshen up before we check-out and return to Saigon airport.
Lunch will be enjoyed at a local restaurant along the way.
