Discover the amazing landscapes of the hill country in Sri Lanka. This holiday tour will take you sightseeing in Kandy, trekking in Knuckles Forest Reserve, visiting tea plantation in Nuwara Eliya, jeep safari in Yala National Park and relaxing in Bentota beach.
On arrival in Sri Lanka you will be assisted by our airport representative and transfer you to Kandy (UNESCO World Heritage Site).
En route, you will visit a spice garden in Mawanella. You will check in at your hotel on arrival and after a short break, continue on to your tour of Kandy.
In the evening, you will visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic which houses the most sacred religious relic, the tooth of the Buddha and the gem museum. Enjoy the Kandyan cultural show at the Kandyan Arts & Cultural Centre.

After an early breakfast leave for Riverstone in the Knuckles Mountain Range for trekking. This mountain range offers a wonderful place for bird watching, trekking, wildlife photography and camping.
Accompanied by the trekker, travel down to the Knuckles valley. Commence a 4 km trek from the village of Ratkinda. When trekking through the foot paths of the village, you can observe the daily life style of the villagers. Then walk past terraced paddy fields and enter the forest canopy of the valley to view the bio diversity of the vegetation, colorful wildflowers, birds and butterflies which are uniquely endemic to the Knuckles area. This trek lasts for about 3 hours.
After this exhilarating trek in the forest, return to Kandy. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast, check out of the hotel. Visit the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya, where a rare collection of tropical exotic and indigenous flora.
Transfer to Nuwara Eliya. En route visit a tea plantation and a tea factory.
Nuwara Eliya is set in the heart of tea country and situated 1890 meters above sea level.
Commence a sightseeing tour of Nuwara Eliya town by visiting market place, golf course (one of the finest 18 holes Golf courses in Asia) the Hill club, and drive around this hill station viewing Lake Gregory.
Check in to the hotel in Nuwara Eliya. Overnight at the hotel.

Rise up early. Pack your breakfast and by 5:30 am leave for Horton plains, the highest plateau in the country. A van picks you up at the hotel and drives up to the entrance of the Park.
Horton plains has unique vegetation and is famous for many rare and endemic highland birds. The most awesome physical feature of the Horton Plains is the escarpment that falls 880 meters to the lowlands of the southern region of the island. Aptly known as the 'World's End' the view from the precipice of the countryside below towards the south coast is spectacular.
Return to Nuwara Eliya in mid day. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

After breakfast, check out of the hotel. Proceed to Ella which is one of the most scenic parts of the island. It is famous for the Ella Gap - a gap in the mountains where you can see all the way up to the ocean on clear days and the Rawana Waterfall.
In Ella, a trekker in a mountain bike joins in to guide you to the heavenly Ellewala waterfall. Route lies 10 km down the town to a point where a rural isolated road leads 3 km upto the waterfall within the forest. Trekker accompanies you up to the waterfall and back. You may take along your swimsuits to take a dip in the pool at the foot of the waterfall.
Proceed to Yala. Check in to the hotel on arrival. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Rise early and after a cup coffee or tea, commence a jeep safari in Yala park. It is renowned for its variety of wildlife notably its many elephants and home to the spotted deer, sambar, wild buffalo, sloth bear, jackal, mongoose, peacock and crocodiles.
Drive back to the hotel and after breakfast check out of the hotel.
Proceed to Colombo, the commercial capital of the country. Commence a city tour of Colombo. Drive through the commercial and city center known as the Fort, built by the Portuguese in the 16th century where grand colonial era buildings stand alongside modern office structures. See the vibrant markets and bazaars of Pettah. Alternatively you may indulge in shopping.
Transfer to the fishing village of Negombo. Check in to the beach hotel. Spend the evening at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast, spend the day at leisure whether it be indulging in fine spa treatment or relaxing by the beautiful Indian Ocean.
