Cusco → Pisca q'uchu → Wayllabamba

Today we will start our journey very early in the morning. After leaving our hotel we will drive all the way to the site known as Pisca q'uchu (2,600m), which marks the beginning of the Inca Trail. It is in this control post that all the trekkers will have to register. 

Our first day of trekking will take us to the camp in the valley of Wayllabamba, with an easy hike over mostly flat terrain. After a couple of hours we will arrive to the archaeological complex of Llactapata, then we will enter the valley that is formed around the Kusichaca River before finally reaching Wayllabamba (3,100m).

Wayllabamba → Pacaymayo

After breakfast we will hit the trail for our second day, considered by many the most enduring. We will make an ascent of 1,100m to the highest point of this circuit, the Dead Woman's Pass (4,200m), where we will delight with its sweeping panoramas. After this we will continue to the camp of Pacaymayo (3,500m).

Sayacmarca, Puyupatamarca & Wiñaywayna

After breakfast, we will start our third day in this trek, which will be the longest but also the most rewarding. We will start with a steep ascent of the Runkuracay Pass (3,950m), stopping at the Runkuracay ruins, after this the rest of the trail goes down. We will first find the ruins of Sayacmarca (3,600m), then we will cross the misty forests of the Puyupatamarca Pass (3,670m) and and we will finally reach the impressive terraces of the Wiñaywayna ruins (2,700m).

Wiñaywayna → Machu Picchu → Cusco

In order to beat the crowds, we will start our final walk to Machu Picchu very early in the morning. We will first reach Inti Punku (2,700m) where we will have our first view of the ancient Machu Picchu. An hour later we will finally arrive and start our guided visit. Those who still have some energy will have time to make the climb to Huayna Picchu, from where you will be able to see Machu Picchu from above. 

In the afternoon, we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo and then transfer to Cusco by road.

Cusco → La Paz

After breakfast, transfer to Cusco International Airport for your flight to La Paz. Upon your arrival at La Paz you will be welcomed up by our staff. Transfer to the hotel. You will have the rest of the day at leisure, enjoy some of the nearby attractions of La Paz downtown or simply have a day of rest after your trek.

La Paz → Uyuni → Mallku

Early in the morning, we will transfer to the airport to take our flight to the city of Uyuni. Upon arrival, we will start our full excursion of the Uyuni salt Flats and the Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve. 

Our first stop will be the train cemetery, next we will visit the old mining town of San Cristobal, where gold and silver are still extracted from its mineral deposits. Then we will drive across the region's famous "paramos" a unique ecosystem in the Andean range where we will spot wild ostriches locally known as "suri". 

After making a stop in a stone village we will continue to the settlement of Mallku, where we will spend the night at a basic but comfortable hotel.

Sol de Mañana Geysers → Laguna Verde → Laguna Colorada

After breakfast, we will drive south across the settlements of Quetena Grande and Quetena Chico, from where we will be able to admire the mighty Uturunco volcano. We will then continue further south to reach Laguna Colorada, a red lake that takes its color from tiny algae and that is inhabited by three different species of flamingoes. 

We will then drive to the Sol de Mañana area, a place of intense volcanic activity that features boiling mud ponds and geysers that shoot steam dozens of meters into the sky. From here we will also visit the nearby Laguna Verde, a picture-perfect lake that takes its green hue from the arsenic depostis that lie beneath, with views of Licancaur volcano as a backdrop. Finally, we will head back to our hotel in the Laguna Colorada area.

Árbol de Piedra → Laguna Hedionda → San Pedro de Quemes

After breakfast we will drive to the settlement of Agencha, where we will visit a small hotel entirely made of salt. En-route we will cross the Siloli Desert, one of the highest and driest in the world, making a stop in its iconic "Arbol de Piedra" a surreal geological formation. 

On our way to Agencha we will also stop at an impressive string of mineral lakes: Laguna Hedionda, Ramadita and Cañapas, where we will also spot several species of flamingoes as well as llamas, alpacas and vicuñas.

San Pedro de Quemes → Uyuni Salt Flats → Colchani

After breakfast we will head for Galaxy Cave, a unique geological formation that was discovered not long ago. From here we will enter the immense salt desert of Uyuni. 

We will at Incahuasi, where we will make a pleasant hike to a hill to get a better view of the infinite salt desert. Here we will be able to observe coral rock formations and cactus as tall as 10 meters. We will have ample time to make the most of this photogenic area, known for its fascinating illusions of perspective. After lunch, we will visit the town of Colchani, where we will be able to see how salt mining processes have evolved. 

We will finally return to the town of Uyuni and transfer to the airport for our flight back to La Paz.

Upon arrival in La Paz we will be picked up and taken to our hotel.
