Yangon City Tour

After breakfast, transfer to the Railway to join the morning circle trains

You have a chance to observe the local ways of life along the rails. Upon arriving at Insein Station, you will get off from the train. After that we will start out sightseeing tour

One of the main activities of Yangon is to stroll through downtown to admire colonial-era buildings, especially around Pansodam Square. Discover numerous food stalls and consumables of all kinds. Depending on the time we will find different markets, but the common feature will be the great activity and mixture of cultures and religions of old Rangoon. 

In the evening, we will visit the beautiful Kandawgyi Lake and magical Karaweik berg, which offers good views for photographs of Shwedagon Pagoda. 

At the end of the day, admire the Shwedagon Pagoda, the most important and revered religious monument in the country.

Bagan Temples

After breakfast, transfer to Yangon Airport for your flight to Nyaung U, for the Bagan temples. 

After checking in at your hotel, we will enjoy a Bagan Archaeological Tour which takes in famous sites including Damayarzaka Pagoda, Shwegugyi and Thabyinnyu

Explore Shwesandaw for its panoramic view of the temples, the mural paintings at Gubyukggyi, and Abeyadana Temple, famed for its mural paintings depicting Mahayana Buddhism scenes. 

In the afternoon, we will visit a lacquerware shop to learn about this unique art for which Bagan is famous for.

Bagan Temples

Start the day with an unforgettable flight over Bagan on a hot air balloon

After breakfast enjoy a bike tour of this important archaeological site. 

This tour begins with a visit to Shwezigone Pagoda, a prototype for many stupas built later. Admire the 13th century cave temples at Wetkyi-in-Gubyaukgyi, Ananda Pagoda, one of Bagan’s most famous sites, and many other temples dotted around this vast beautiful complex.

Mount Victoria

After breakfast, you will drive from Kanpetlet to the trail head for Mount Victoria, and then enjoy hiking for four hours

Along the way we can observe many rare forms of flora and fauna. We will also have a chance to see rare birds which can only be found in Myanmar, both native and migratory birds, rare species of Myanmar Orchids, and many species of plants and butterflies. 

Then continue this scenic drive through deep valleys to the town of Mindat, set on a spectacular mountain ridge.

Pakokku → Mandalay

After breakfast, we will transfer to the jetty to take a boat to Pakkoku, a charming town famous as a tobacco trading centre and for its weaving shops. 

We will then travel towards Yazagou where we will see the mind blowing wooden Pakhangyi Monastery, which is regarded today as Myanmar’s capital of culture.

Mingun & Mandalay

After breakfast, take the pleasant boat ride upriver to Mingun, which is the site of what would have been the world’s largest pagoda had King Bodawpaya not died in 1819 during its construction. There is also the Mingun Bell, which was moved from the temple, and is said to be the largest hanging bell in the world. 

We will spend the day exploring the city highlights, including the Mahamuni Pagoda, the wood-carved Shwenandaw Monastery and the world’s largest book at Kuthodaw Pagoda. In the evening, enjoy a beautiful sunset from the top of Mandalay Hill

Before dinner, we’ll walk around the interesting Chinese night market on 75th street, with stalls selling a huge variety of goods - including fruits, vegetables and Chinese cuisine.

Sagaing, Inwa & Amarapura

After breakfast, visit Mandalay’s well known Jade Market, the most important of a country that owns more than 80% of the world's reserves of this precious stone. 

Mandalay is well known for its skilled craftsmen and as you tour a traditional workshop you will learn more of the city’s cottage industries. Observe the production of stone carving, Kalaga tapestries, and gold-leaf beating where techniques remain unchanged from those used centuries ago to craft items for the Royal Court. 

Travel to Sagaing, a former capital of the Shan kingdom in the 14th century, which lies slightly downriver from Mandalay with many interesting stupas scattered over Sagaing Hill. 

Later we will visit another former royal capital, Inwa, founded in 1364 and which lasted nearly 400 years as a royal capital. We will see the leaning tower of Ava, Maha Aung mye Bonzan, a brick-and- stucco monastery, and the elegant teakwood monastery Bagaya Kyaung

Explore the ancient royal capital of Amarapura. Here we will enjoy extraordinary landscape backdrops for an amazing sunset at the world-famous U Bein Bridge, thought to be the longest teak bridge in the world.

After breakfast, transfer to Mandalay airport for your flight to Yangon.

After arrival, we will visit the boulevard-like Pansodan Street, before you have the chance to browse for Myanmar crafts at the Bogyoke Aung San Market. Pansodan has one of the greatest collections of colonial-era architecture in the world and is home to Yangon’s famous roadside book stalls. 

End the tour at Wardan Jetty on the river’s edge to enjoy a beautiful sunset and to witness local life taking place along the river.
