For the next week, we will make daily excursions into the wilderness in search of Snow Leopards guided by one of the most experienced teams of Himalayan wildlife trackers in all India. While the sighting of the most elusive animal on Earth is by no means guaranteed, our team has been successfully at spotting them over the last years, most of the times with multiple sightings in the same trip.

India is one of a handful of countries where Snow Leopards exist; they rule the cliffs of Trans-Himalayan landscape in Spiti and Ladakh and are highly revered by the people who live here, which has played a major role in protecting from poachers. With a stable population of Snow Leopards, the Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the best places to see this rare cat.

In the evenings we will return to our homestay, which will give us a valuable insight of Indo-Tibetan families and their culture.

A spectacular trek with spectacular views & amazing team in the Shangri-La ridge in Darjeeling. Bejoi our guide was more like a father, caring for us, holding our hand, educating us on the culture & Mountains & always smiling. We go back with very pleasant memories & hope to return again sooner. Equipment was of high standard, hot water bags in the night in sleeping bags were a great detail from the company.
